Indie Pub Love: Six Anticipated Horror Titles
Cráite by Saoirse Ní Chiaragáin (9/1/26 via Filthy Loot), a collection composed of “nine stories of lonely people and the ugly discoveries they make.” An intriguing premise topped off with a gorgeous, eye-catching cover.
Still Floating: 40 Years of Pennywise edited by Tom Deady (9/15/26 via Greymore Publishing), which “brings together thirty-three authors, artists, scholars, and publishers to examine IT in-depth, from King’s four-year writing of the novel to the recent adaptations, and everything in between,” delivering “a complete and heartfelt look into Stephen King's masterpiece and its impact on generations of fans, the horror genre, and pop culture.” Cannot WAIT!
The Cages We Endure: An Anthology edited by Amanda Havill Adgate and Julia Jackson (10/6/26 via Grave Belles Press), a female-focused anthology surrounding trauma, societal roles, and expectations (aka cages). This looks and sounds incredible!
In Your Heart a Devil by Vanessa Santos (10/8/26 via Dead Ink Books), “a gothic tale of unrequited longing and unfathomable betrayal” that “beckons readers through unforgiving halls where servants whisper and shadows stir, into chambers where forbidden vows are bound in candlelight; and into the heart of a woman who is ready to emerge from her husband’s mythologised shadow to tell her own story.” Oh my god YES.
The Stitch Witches by Krissie K. Williams (10/8/26 via Quill & Crow Publishing House), set “thirty years after the Salem Witch Trials” when “a series of sinister deaths plagues Promise Land, Massachusetts, once a safe haven for Puritans.” Sounds deliciously dark and atmospheric!
Oubliette by L.V. Russell (10/23/26 via Quill & Crow Publishing House), a gothic horror tale of isolation, longing, violence, and decay set in a crumbling coastal manor “steeped in rot and haunted by the dead.” New all-time favorite cover + decadent gothic premise = SO. Excited!
What indie pub title(s) are you looking forward to reading?
