Yearly Favorite Lookback

It’s interesting to look back at how my reading has evolved over the years, especially since I began investing my time and creative energy into horror. It makes me look forward to the new titles I’ll discover on my reading journey and, of course, those I’ll add to my "favorites" lists.

Below are my favorites for the last three years. The leader for the first half of 2026 is The Reformatory by Tananarive Due, and it’s going to take a special story to unseat it, as it’s among the best I’ve ever experienced.
