I can’t remember the last time I read four 5-star books in a row, especially following a less-than-fun slump. These were so incredible, I ravenously devoured them, and now I’m sharing them with all of you! Have you enjoyed any of these, or do you have comps you’d recommend?
Four 5-Star Reads:
- Stay on the Line by Clay McLeod Chapman: An immersive, heart-rending, and terrifying forthcoming novelette that kept me absolutely riveted from start to finish. Review coming soon!
- Quicksand House by Carlton Mellick III: A deliciously gothic, wonderfully frightening, bizarrely creative, hugely affecting tale — a mesmerizing inaugural reading experience!
- I Will Rot Without You by Danger Slater: A thoroughly appalling, deeply moving, wonderfully hilarious, masterfully written story that had me laughing, cringing, and almost-gagging throughout. Just fantastic, and the A+ experience I always look forward to with Danger Slater’s work.
- The Push by Ashley Audrain: I’m late to the party on this novel, and WOW, what a party it was! I read almost 200 pages in a single sitting and can’t stop thinking about this propulsive, harrowing, and utterly engrossing book. Easily a yearly and all-time favorite!
